2023 New York Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Daniel Collins is a 2024 OF/RHP/3B with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Poughkeepsie, NY who attends Spackenkill. Collins certainly had one of the louder performances over the course of his event, starting on the defensive end where he touched 91 mph from the OF with effortless carry behind throws. The footwork/mechanics were calculated with a full arm path present. He topped out at 89 mph on the mound giving hitters little chance for contact, flashing a low effort operation and plenty of arm speed. Collins had feel for spin in the arsenal with a CB up to 2470 rpm displaying both vertical and horizontal tilt. Offensively, the righty started from a slightly open stance with evident strength in the hands. He utilized a toe-tap trigger with easy bat speed generating loud impact when timed up, posting an exit velo of 89 mph. Good student. Named to Top Prospect List.
