Cooper Nohinek is a 2021 C/3B with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Arlington, TX who attends Martin HS. Medium frame with an athletic build and broad shoulders. Ran a 7.64 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Sets up in a side straddle stance. Quick feet coming out while gaining towards the bag. Compact action getting on top of the ball well. Throws topping out at 77 miles per hour and a workout pop of 2.05. Also worked out as a secondary infielder. Fields the ball with soft hands from a deeper funnel. Quicker transition from a short arm action getting the ball out. Throws stay accurate across showing average carry topping out at 79 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with and even stance to start. Utilizes a toe tap trigger for timing. Long path to contact on a flat plane through the zone. Able to drive the ball to the pull side gap when timing up the ball and getting the barrel out. Excellent student as well.
