Maverick Garcia is a 2022 C/2B with a 5-9 157 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Deer Park. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.31 seconds. Hits from even-based stance, inside-out swing path, small stride, inconsistent lower half drive and direction, opposite field approach, projects with strength. Primary catcher, bouncy and athletic behind the plate, explodes out of crouch, downhill release with quick release, clocked up to 74 mph on throws. Also took infield reps and threw 81 mph across the diamond. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
