Garrett Axsom is a 2022 OF/3B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Gray Court, SC who attends Hillcrest. Strong athletic build. 7.08 runner in the sixty, uses his speed well on the bases and is aggressive. Has a loose arm in the outfield with projectable strength, makes accurate soft throws, can improve his footwork through the ball and release. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a leg lift trigger, swing is short and direct with good strength at contact, line drive swing plane, high contact approach with some ability to drive the gaps. Good student.
