Bransen Powell is a 2023 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Locust Grove, GA who attends Locust Grove. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.04 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, deliberate tempo through leg lift up past belt, power gather on backside before driving towards the plate; quick arm through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, best when extended out front and over front side; curveball offers 11-5 shape with hard biting action at 73 mph. Showed arm strength around the field, up to 89 mph from the outfield and 87 mph across the diamond, high energy to actions, shows nice carry from the outfield, can continue to work through the ball in the infield with lower half. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; subtle shift through lower half and projects with additional shift moving forward. Swings with intent and looks to impact at point of contact, creates present bat speed through the zone and remains linear through the zone. Occasionally gets downhill with path, creates jump when squared and projects very well at physical maturity. Good student. Named to the 14u National Showcase Top Prospect List.
