2021 Sunshine Southeast Showcase
David Luigs is a 2022 1B/OF with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Holy Innocents Episcopal. Large frame with significant present physicality to the build. Ran a 7.67 second 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, plays with good energy around the position, fields it cleanly and builds into his throws with arm strength clocked up to 75 mph across. Right-handed hitter, uses his physicality very well to impact the baseball. Fires his weight and torques hard in his swing pairing good barrel skills with an ease in creating lift out front to produce long carry off impact. Translated the barrel skills and impact strength to game action where he found the barrel consistently and produced hard contact at a regular rate. Outstanding student. Named to 2021 Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
