Josiah Chiesa is a 2022 SS/RHP, IF, OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Dalton, GA who attends Christian Heritage. Tall and lean with long limbs and room to fill. Primary shortstop has athletic movements to the ball with good glove work and developing footwork. Chiesa has a quick release with a strong, accurate arm. Secondary right handed pitcher has a high leg lift from the stretch with a compact over the top arm slot, steep downhill plane on the fastball, great command of the strike zone, good sink on the ball, and a developing curveball. Right handed hitter has a slightly open stance, high back elbow, leg lift trigger, sprays the ball all over the field, and developing bat speed. Excellent student.
