Anthony Thomas is a 2018 RHP/3B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from The Woodlands, TX who attends The Woodlands HS. Thomas has a medium sized frame with some strength. He pitches from 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. He worked just from the stretch and he has a slight cross body delivery. He gets closed at balance point and pitches with some effort. Thomas gets some occasional run and sink on his fastball and he worked down in the zone. He threw an 11/5 curveball with developing shape and spin to it. He gets low with his glove after separation which caused him to miss to the gloveside in this outing with his fastball. Keeping that glove up will also help the shape of his curveball. Defensively he showed developing infield actions with arm strength up to 75 MPH across the diamond. At the plate Thomas starts with an open stance and a high hand set. He has an inside swing path and an extended finish. Excellent student.
