Landon James is a 2025 C/3B with a 6-2 199 lb. frame from Carrollton, OH who attends Carrollton. Big and strong young build, stands out physically. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with high back elbow and busy hand load, tends to stay on his back side and lose the power in his lower half, swings with intent and can drive the ball hard to the gaps when he's squared up, can take steps to simplify his overall approach to use his strength more consistently. 7.13 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has compact actions for his size, has good balance and direction throwing and stays on top of his throws very well, nice arm strength for a sophomore, received the ball cleanly in the games with soft hands. Has a good combination of strength and athleticism that will enable him to continue to improve. Good student. Named to the Great Lakes Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
