Brett Cook is a 2019 2B/3B, SS, OF with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Richmond, VA who attends IMG Academy. Medium frame with solid, athletic present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 6.89 seconds. Sets up to hit from spread out, even-based stance with high back elbow set. Very quick hands into swing, shows legitimate bat speed on line drive plane, does a great job getting the ball into the air and showing hard line drives to all fields. Has legitimate hitting tools. Worked out defensively in the infield, shows clean hands and actions overall, good athleticism throughout round. Showed good accuracy across the diamond, throws clocked up to 76 mph. Named to 2017 Sunshine East Showcase Top Prospect List, good student.
