Matthew Fernandez is a 2020 RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Florida Christian. Medium athletic build with room to get stronger. Solid on line delivery with good lower half use, gets over his front side well and gets extended towards the plate. Fastball topped out at 91 mph early, settled down into the mid to upper 80's, throws strikes with his fastball and gets occasional running action. Mid-70's curveball shows good depth at times with 11/5 shape, flashed a change up. Very good student, verbal commitment to Florida International.
