Matthew Goldenbaum is a 2023 RHP/2B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Fairless Hills, PA who attends Holy Ghost Prep. Recorded a 5.12 second forty-yard dash time. Medium, athletic frame with some lean muscle throughout and room to add strength as he matures. Primary right-handed pitcher that took part in the infield portion of the workout only during this event. Displayed fundamentally sound defensive skill set with athletic actions throughout the fielding process and tons of arm strength across the diamond. Exhibits good range to both sides, a clean funnel out in front and the ability to change arm angles when necessary. Works downhill through the baseball and maintains momentum into release. Recorded arm strength up to 89 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a bent knee, even stance with a high hand set and hanging leg lift trigger for timing. Incorporates good weight shift into impact and creates a ton of whip to his barrel. Simple, line drive swing path with loads of present bat speed and lightning quick hands. Whole field approach with easy power potential to all fields and room to expand as he continues to physically mature. Extremely athletic prospect with immense upside remaining on the mound and potential two-way abilities . Good Student. Verbally committed to South Florida University. Named to the 2022 Perfect Game Northeast Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
