Hogan Stallings is a 2020 1B/RHP with a 6-4 235 lb. frame from Wake Forest, NC who attends Wake Forest. Extra-large, broad shouldered build with present strength proportioned throughout frame and incorporates strength well into swing. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; does a nice job of staying on line with lower half and utilizes a simple toe tap trigger for timing. Direct swing path to the ball with leverage and natural loft coming off the barrel. Consistent hard line drive contact to pull side and creates nice torque with hips; works the pull gap and showed big jump off the barrel with present bat speed and smoothness to swing. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front with some bend at waist, shows footwork off the base on turns, accurate throws with arm strength and carry that will continue to develop. Named to Atlantic Coast Underclass Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
