Preston Cavenaugh is a 2019 OF/ with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Myers Park HS. Recorded a 6.89 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with broad shoulders and physical projection remaining. Primary outfielder with a compact arm stroke and arm strength recorded up to 81 mph into the infield. Short, sure steps to the ball and has good accuracy. Bit hesitant on the ball but good feel for the position. Lefthanded hitter with a slightly open stance and a small stride forward. Direct path to contact with a quiet, elastic hand load. Gap to gap approach and works to the opposite field gap with intent. Simple, compact swing and looks to pull the ball with intent.
