Torre Digiovanni is a 2018 SS/RHP with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Port Orchard, WA who attends South Kitsap HS. Young athletic build, some present strength with more to come. 7.53 runner, has quick actions at shortstop and shows athleticism, charges the ball well and plays aggressively, most comfortable throwing from a lower slot, sound overall actions. Right handed hitter, rock back load, gets weight moving forward well into contact, has a sound swing with a line drive swing plane, should keep improving as a hitter with additional strength. Also pitched and is interesting on the mound, throws both 3/4's and down under Laredo with similar stuff and command, mixes the two looks liberally and stays balanced well with both. Fastball a bit firmer from the higher release point but low slot has plus life and better command. Can spin the ball well from both slots with predictable shape difference, threw a rare but pretty good knuckleball for another look. Good athlete who should keep improving. Outstanding student.
