Rudy Gonzalez is a 2018 C/SS with a 5-11 189 lb. frame from Montgomery, TX who attends Magnolia HS. Solid catcher's build with good present strength. 7.52 runner, has quick feet behind the plate defensively, gets rid of the ball quickly in his exchange and release and makes accurate throws, consistent defensive fundamentals. Right handed hitter, spread bent knee stance with a rock back load, closed front side, generates some raw bat speed when he turns on the ball and handles the barrel well. Good student.
