Joselito Baez is a 2018 1B/RHP/OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Pembroke Pines, FL who attends Everglades HS. Long and loose athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, has a short swing for his size and length, good stride into contact, line drive swing plane with solid mid field contact, swings hard and creates some bat speed, hitting tools to develop. Primary first baseman but has plenty of athleticism to play the outfield as well, moves around the first base bag well with good footwork and soft hands. Also pitched, balanced delivery with a mid 3/4's arm slot, short arm circle, stays on line well, could get more lower half use. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, mostly straight. Short breaking curveball. Good student.
