Warren Sammons is a 2018 C/1B with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Oak Ridge HS. Ran a 7.57 second 60-yard dash. Physically advanced frame with well-proportioned strength throughout the build. Very strong player that helps in various areas. Primary catcher with smooth exchanges and plenty of arm strength, up to 79 mph. Short arm action with an impressive pop time of 1.98. Keeps throws low to the ground well and stays low throughout motion. Secondary first baseman with a full arm action and turns well. Arm strength plays well from the position with accurate throws that have good carry on them. Righthanded hitter with an even, level swing plane. Easy weight shift through the point of contact. Can impact the ball with tremendous jump and strength, highest exit velocity of 89 mph. Mostly up the middle approach with very intriguing power thanks to strength. Naturally leveraged stroke with carry to the pull side of the field. Named to the 2017 Florida Top Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
