Kevin Szafran is a 2018 SS/2B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Nokomis, FL who attends Riverview HS. Medium frame switch hitter that shows athleticism on the field. In the infield he generates good momentum to the ball, works through the ball with a fluid transfer, fields the ball in a good position, showed off his range. Threw with accuracy and arm strength to first. Also, controlled body well when throwing on the run. At the plate he's a switch hitter with the same stance from both sides; he stands wide, hands high and the back elbow up. With the bat vertical he gathers to the rear leg with a toe tap, stride separates, shows really good actions and good path. Great lower half mechanics and quickness, works up to the ball, stays on plane with bat speed and ball jumped off the barrel. Outstanding student.
