Brooks Jones is a 2024 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B, OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Murfreesboro, TN who attends Middle Tennessee Christian. Large frame with a filled out build showing physical strength throughout. Ran a 7.46 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, showing instincts as he moved well laterally and was confident with the glove. Scooped it up and works into a quick transfer. Carry to throws across the diamond as he threw it 81 mph during drills. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a side-step to a higher leg lift. Drops and drives as he stays direct to dish. Fluid arm stroke as he released from a higher slot. Went right after hitters as he filled up the zone. Fastball up to 81 mph and also mixed in a slurvy breaking ball. Did not participate in outfield drills but proved to have some feel in games. Made a great diving play in left-center and also threw out a runner at the dish. Right-Handed Hitter, even to start as he works into a hanging leg lift to stride. Hands get deep and the bat gets vertical upon separation. Fires the hands and stays linear through the zone. Looks to let the baseball travel and drive it middle-away. Great Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
