Shamaar McDuffie is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 5-11 153 lb. frame from Hampton, GA who attends Georgia Premier Academy. Lean athletic build. Outstanding defensive actions in the middle infield, has natural balance and quickness, works through the ball with confident hands, hands get down early, has the arm strength to make every play, fun to watch play defense. Right handed hitter, hits from a balanced stance with a good lower half shift into contact, active hands to start his swing and has fast hands, middle of the field line drive swing approach, projects as a hitter as he gets stronger. Also threw an inning with a mid 80's fastball from an over the top arm slot. Has a chance to be a special defensive player. Good student, verbal commitment to Kennesaw State. Named to the PG Underclass All-American Games Top Prospect List.
