Anthony Gutierrez is a 2019 2B/OF/3B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Miramar, FL who attends Miami Christian HS. Recorded a 7.30 second 60-yard dash time. Large, physical frame with well-proportioned strength throughout. Primary second baseman with deliberate actions and a quick release. Makes the plays with consistency and arm strength recorded up to 78 mph across. Performed well in game with clean actions. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set and a high back elbow. Leg lift into the swing and hands start wrapped. Line drive swing plane with some whip to the barrel. Simple mechanics without a ton of moving parts. Good balance and can create carry to the pull gap. Shows good bat speed and a direct hand path to contact. Ball jumps off the barrel. Good student.
