Jonathan Walton is a 2018 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from North Prince George, VA who attends Prince George. Large build, present strength in lower half, broad shoulders. Primary righthanded pitcher, starts in a staggered stance, turns slightly away from the hitter as he comes to a just above belt leg lift, changed up timing in delivery to keep hitters off balance, shorter arm action to a high 3/4 arm slot hiding the ball well, showed the ability to lower arm angle for added effectiveness, short stride landing slightly closed, fielded position well. Fastball worked in the low-80s, mixed in a slider with tight spin and some depth, also flashed a changeup with some tumble to it. Also took reps at first base, made turns quickly, good accuracy to the base, short arm action to a 3/4 arm slot. Righthanded hitter, wide base, high hand set with a high back elbow, double toe tap trigger, weight on back side, short hand path to the baseball, steady pull hitter looking to lift with some strength in swing. Good student.
