Connor Carey is a 2018 3B/2B, OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Monroe Township, NJ who attends Monroe Township. Medium, athletic frame with a lean, projectable build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.31 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, shows athleticism to actions and rounds the ball well with footwork, takes an extra step at release but gains momentum, full arm action through the back getting to a higher three-quarters release, occasionally under throws, ball comes out of hand well. Righthanded hitter, begins with a spread, even stance and a high hand set in the box. Utilizes a simple leg lift trigger at the plate for timing, does a nice job to create separation in swing and uses a contact approach. Pulls hands back at start of swing, shows a line drive swing plane through the zone with looseness and extension, works the middle and pull side parts of the field. Very good student.
