Kyle Laing is a 2018 RHP/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from West Chester, PA who attends Downingtown West Campus HS. Has a tall, lean build with room to continue to put on additional muscle. Posted a 7.73 second sixty yard dash. From the outfield, fields the baseball out front with looseness moving well through the baseball. Made accurate throws to the target bag showing arm strength up to 78 mph. At the plate, right-hand hitter that starts with a high hand set, high back elbow, and an open stance. Stays short to the baseball on a line drive swing plane, uses a middle of the field approach, has balance throughout and leverage through contact consistently finding the barrel. On the mound, throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a big arm circle that stays clean through. Fastball shows arm side run, curveball has 11/5 shape and is able to throw for strikes, slider showed late break. Great student.
