Carson Fowler is a 2018 OF/LHP with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Wilmington, DE who attends Mount Pleasant. Small frame, compact athletic build. Projects for some additional size with strength. Left handed hitter with a bent knee setance and a small leg lift trigger at the plate. Quick hands with a short swing path that helps get the barrel through the zone. Consistent pull side approach with a level swing plane that produces solid line drive, ground ball contact. Hands stay inside baseball throughout batting practice swings and produces slight recoil. Primarily uses hands to genereate bat speed. Worked out defensively from the outfield showing atheltic actions while closing to baseball with a deliberate gather into release. Quick arm action with solid carry out of hand from a slightly uphill path and developing accuracy to bag. Shows best velocity and on line carry when staying on top of baseball, topped at 86 mph from the outfield. Also ran a 7.14 sixty-yard dash. Good student as well.
