Ty Mainolfi is a 2024 SS/OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Staten Island, NY who attends St. Peter's Boys. Medium, high waisted frame with athletic look to it and room to add strength. Recorded a 6.99 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary shortstop with a quick first step, plenty of lateral range and tons of athleticism in his actions during the fielding process. Showed the ability to make the play on the run effortlessly and produced accurate throws up to 84 mph across the diamond. Secondary outfielder with anticipatory actions into the fielding process. Fields cleanly off his front foot, gathers smoothly and carries some momentum into release. Showed adjustability and quick step, while delivering accurate throws up to 86 mph during drills. Left-handed hitter that hits from an open base with a high hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Compact, line drive stroke with looseness to his hands, plenty of present bat speed and feel for the barrel. Middle-of-the field approach with ability to spray line drives from line-to-line, while flashing some pullside power potential. Swing translates well into game action. Athletic, versatile prospect with tons of upside on both sides of the baseball. Good Student. Named to the 2023 Northeast Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.
