Haiden Watkins is a 2022 SS/RHP, MIF, OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from New Palestine, IN who attends New Palestine. Medium frame with slender, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.95 seconds. Hits from straight stance with high back elbow, short swing with inside path with hands, line drive plane through stroke, top hand dominant, shows whole-field approach. Worked out in the infield, shows range laterally, hands work when out front in funnel, steps-replaces into throws across in lower half, clocked up to 69 mph on throws. Also pitched, compact stroke through the back to three quarters arm slot, fastball worked 67-71 mph, showed good feel for the changeup with fading life, also mixed in a curveball for strikes. Good student.
