John Blanco is a 2024 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Hagerstown, MD who attends Mercersburg Academy. Bianco posted loud metrics at multiple spots, starting from his primary IF spot where he showcased athletic actions with a clean fielding funnel and smooth transfers, flashing clear zip across the diamond up to 89 mph. He worked through the ball effectively with sound footwork and solid range to both sides. On the mound, Bianco flashed a controlled operation releasing from a loose 3/4 slot with tons of evident arm speed. He consistently dotted the outer half of the plate, exclusively using the FB to record outs up to 88 mph. Offensively, the righty started from an even base with a lower hand set displaying tons of east bat speed through the zone to generate effortless carry on the baseball. He left the facility on multiple swings with leverage and lift in the stroke, posting an exit velo of 93 mph. Ran a 7.07 sixty yard dash. Good student. Named to Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
