2006 National Underclass Showcase
Max Hightower is a 2008 IF with a 5'6", 147 lb frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Wesleyan School. Max has a short athletic build with suprising strength for his size. At the plate Max has an aggressive approach with a line-drive swing plane. He got in a pretty grove during batting practice and centered up quite a few pitches. The ball jumps off his bat fairly well, but Max has a tendency to get rotational in his swing and can roll over some pitches. In the field Max has good hands with clean actions, but his arm is probably limited to second base at this point. Max is a player that could attract the attention of some smaller colleges.
