Tyler Overholt is a 2021 LHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Abbeville, SC who attends Abbeville. Strong athletic build, especially in the lower half. Gets his back turned well in his delivery, will sometimes over rotate and leave his arm behind, mechanics are much more consistent at present from the windup as opposed to from the stretch. Worked up to 86 mph from a 3/4's arm slot, commands the ball to the arm side very well with occasional plus running life when down in the zone, can learn how to come inside to right handed hitters more consistently. Threw the full array of secondary pitches, curveball was the best of the three with sharp biting action and good depth and tilt at times. Has a more physical upside remaining and a solid present idea how to pitch. Outstanding student, verbally committed to the College of Charleston. Named to the Sunshine Showcase Top Prospect List.
