Zach Goetz is a 2020 RHP/3B with a 5-9 195 lb. frame from Monroe Township , NJ who attends Monroe Twp. Medium frame with broad shoulders and a solid, strong build. Primary right handed pitcher with a side step to leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side at gather, creates some front side swing while working to the plate but finish in line and carries momentum. High energy, extended three-quarters arm slot at released that produced some sinking action with run to arm side in the mid 70's to low 80's, topped at 80 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with softer spin and some depth. Flashed much better rotation and depth when staying on top of offering through finish. Consistently challenge hitters in the zone early and induced weak contact creating quick, efficient innings. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing smooth paced, deliberate footwork while surrounding the baseball. Funnels the baseball out front with two hands and works through exchange well. Gets the baseball out with a quick, compact arm action that created some carry to the bag with accuracy. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and large leg lift trigger. Stays in middle of swing with rotational lower half actions to contact. Loose, extended hand path to contact with a level plane through extension. Primarily utilized a mid field approach, but flashed the present strength to drive the ball through the gaps when on time. Good student as well.
