Cooper Binnie is a 2017 SS/RHP with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Mesa, AZ who attends Red Mountain HS. Has a medium frame with a strong build, clear sign of present strength throughout body. Posted a 7.53 60-yard dash. From the infield, controlled actions with soft hands. Medium to compact arm action with developing arm strength and carry, deliberate throwing mechanics. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a slightly open stance and low hand set. Has an opposite field approach with some strength in swing. Developing extension and timing mechanism. On the mound, throws from a 3/4 arm slot with short arm action in back. Stays online to the plate through delivery with good balance and extension out front. Repeats delivery well. Fastball has occasional cutting action. Curveball has 11/5 shape with developing break. Changeup spins down in the zone. Has a good mix to keep hitters off balance. Good student.
