Andrew Alvarez is a 2018 RHP/3B/1B with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends St Thomas HS. Thick and strong mature build for his age. Slow paced delivery with good drive to the plate, 3/4's to mid 3/4's arm slot, long whippy arm action. Mid 70's fastball, gets good tailing life at times, topped at 76 mph. Sweeping slurve type breaking ball with small to medium break. Uses a knuckleball as a change up. Command and stuff improved throughout his outing and was effective. Right handed hitter, spread stance with a limited shift, inside swing path with mid to opposite field contact.
