Davis Downs is a 2025 RHP/2B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends East Forsyth. He ran a 7.28 second sixty. A primary right-handed pitcher with an average build. On the mound he starts with a side step into a belt high leg lift with an average arm swing through the back to a high three-quarters release, he threw the fastball arm side comfortably in the 70-75 mph range and got outs at the bottom of the zone with good leg drive down the hill, showed a changeup as his secondary offering with less arm speed but flashes of fading action. On the infield he approaches the ball with short choppy steps transitioning into a linger gather with your arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, maintains barrel plane in the zone keeping the bat head in the hitting zone a long time as he flashed some hand speed at times, he showed good connection throughout the swing hitting some balls hard on a line.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
