Tyler Minnick is a 2023 C/1B/3B with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Mount Paran Christian. Long and projectable athletic build. Right hand hitter, drops into his swing from a straight set up, stays on and drops his back side, lofted swing approach, strong swing with some bat speed and impact at contact, often creates top spin at contact, power approach with the strength and long levers to execute it. 7.06 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, comes out of his crouch very well for his size and has lower half quickness and athleticism, long and extended arm stroke with some carry on his throw, can work on shortening his exchange and release in games. Plenty athletic enough to play corner positions on the field as well. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Georgia Tech.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
