Neylor Madera is a 2019 C with a 5-10 206 lb. frame from San German, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Recorded a 7.49 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with some present strength well-proportioned throughout. Primary catcher with a side saddled start and a higher arm slot. Quick glove and footwork with good accuracy. Will be able to improve pop time with additional quickness to exchange. Righthanded hitter with a narrow base and a hands-oriented swing. Downhill swing plane with a high hand set and a high back elbow. Raw bat speed and flashes some impact off the barrel when squared. Works to all fields well and will improve with additional consistency.
