Patrick Barrett is a 2017 RHP/3B, SS with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Manahawkin, NJ who attends Southern Reg. Large frame with strong build throughout; body still projects well moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.40 seconds. Primary pitcher, throws from very low-three quarters arm slot, big time arm side life and sink on fastball due to slot, drives well off backside, can get to both sides with fastball, which worked 80-85 MPH. Slider flashes sharp, two-plane tilt, very strong two pitch mix with the ability to get both weak contact as well as swings and misses. Hits from upright stance with high back elbow set, simple stroke for the most part, has strength in swing, extends well through contact and generates leverage, committed to the middle of the field and has power that way as well. Named to 2016 Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List. Very good student.
