Danny Rogers is a 2021 3B/MIF/OF with a 5-11 148 lb. frame from Troy, NY who attends Troy High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.61 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front, keeps feet moving well through release and shows short steps on the charge, extra step into release, works from a higher slot with a tight release on throws, shows carry on throws across diamond. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Utilizes a small leg kick trigger for timing, shows quickness to hands in swing with a linear path through the zone. Consistent feel for the barrel and strength plays well in swing, ball comes off barrel nicely and worked the middle and pull side parts of the field with comfort. Very good student.
