2021 Sunshine Southeast Showcase
Jayden Reid is a 2023 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Westlake. Slender frame primary shortstop with fast twitch athletic actions on both sides of the ball. Ran a 7.11 second sixty yard dash, but plays faster than that on the base paths and out of the box. Showed a good arm across the diamond with 85 mph arm strength and moved well through the ball with hands that work. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a fast arm, 3/4 slot that gets on hitters with intent. Fastball up to 84 mph that played up with life through the zone and a curveball in the low-70s with tight spin and depth. Reid can really swing it in the box with quick hands and gap power despite his slender frame. Bat flies through the zone with leg kick timing and barrel awareness. Stayed middle of field in batting practice and it carried over to the games with pure athletic ability in the box and on the base paths.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
