Eduardo Ortiz is a 2016 OF/2B with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Trujillo Alto, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Medium athletic build, square shoulders, plenty of room to get stronger. 7.02 runner, very nice arm action from the outfield, long and loose arm and the ball comes out easy, shows lots of athleticism defensively. Switch hitter, high back elbow and hands approach, short downward swing path, tries to stay inside the ball, starting hand position and swing path working against each other, contact approach, mid field contact. Has the athleticism to make adjustments and improve as a hitter. Good student.
