Luke Roden is a 2019 OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Keller, TX who attends Covenant Christian Academy. Wiry build and slender with athletic strength, 6.65 runner who profiles as a top-of-the-order hitter using a short, simple, and compact swing to generate consistently barreled balls at the plate that jump off his bat. Looks to the middle of the field but shows the ability to turn on balls to the pull side, present strength in the bat with a consistent approach during in-game at-bats. Shows good timing and rhythm in the OF with solid actions and reads off the bat, positions himself well to throw with momentum generating carry and online accuracy to the bases. Good student.
