Mike Nodzenski is a 2008 C/1B from Naperville North High School in Naperville, IL, with a 6'1'', 190 lb. frame. A young player with present strength, solid tools, and a good catcher's body. Defensively he has a smooth arm action behind the plate on his throws, and shows solid arm strength for his age. He sets up well behind the plate and frames pitches. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a calm and quiet approach in the box. Nodzenski has good bat speed through the zone and stays balanced throughout his swing. The ball jumps off his bat when he makes solid contact showing gap to gap power, and he has projectable power for the future. He has good hand strength and has the ability to use the entire field. Nodzenski has upside as a catcher and a hitter, and he is a very good student as well.
