Blake Beers is a 2017 RHP with a 6-5 210 lb. frame from Manhattan Beach, CA who attends Loyola HS. Extra big and strong athletic build, durable look. High 3/4's arm slot with some spine tilt during his delivery, hides the ball well in back and has some deception, arm is fast and loose coming through. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, creates big plane when down in the zone with his fastball, good arm side running life at times. Velocity has moved up 12 mph in less than two years. Showed big potential with his curveball, big depth with 11/5 shape, not consistent yet in the release but can spin it. Has the tools and the build to keep getting better. Good student, verbal commitment to Michigan.
