Buddy Fultz is a 2017 SS/2B, 3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Alpharetta, GA who attends Johns Creek. Large frame with solid, athletic present build; good projection remaining to go along with good present strength. Switch hitter, sets to hit from right side with slight hunch and high hand set, leg lift trigger into stride with good shift, torques hips well with intent, gets hands through with very good bat speed on a line drive plane, squared the ball up consistently to the pull field with good jump off the barrel. Similar results from the left side, swings the bat hard with big intent, shows good feel for the barrel from both sides with the ability to consistently drive the baseball on a line. Exit velocities are undoubtedly high when squared up from either side. Worked out defensively in the infield, surrounds the ball well with solid footwork, fields cleanly out front with good balance and maintains balance through throwing mechanics. Showed good athleticism and feel on slow roller with barehanded grab. Arm strength across the diamond clocked up to 80 MPH. Very good student.
