Frank Peters is a 2009 MIF/3B with a 5'10'', 152 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA, who attends Pace Academy. Peters is a young player with and athletic frame. Defensively he is very quick with fluid movements in the middle infield. He moves through the ball well showing nice footwork and body control. Peters was smooth in everything he did, especially when on the move. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from an upright and slightly closed stance and has a nice approach. He takes a short stride, and has a line drive swing plane with quick hands. Peters makes solid contact to all fields, and projects to hit for a high average at the next level. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with good arm speed and minimal effort. He has nice mechanics and a balanced and online delivery. He gets late life on his fastball that topped out at 76 mph and he keeps the ball down. Peters also mixes in a 65 mph curveball with 11/5 break that is good when he stays on top of the pitch. Peters is a good young player with upside to his game.
