Trent Jemmett is a 2008 MIF with a 5'10'', 170 lb. frame from La Jolla, CA who attends La Jolla HS. He has an average frame and a lean build. Jemmett is simply a good baseball player. He does not have tools that jump out at you but what he does have are outstanding hitting instincts. He consistently makes hard barrel contact and bangs the ball to all fields with authority. His hands really work in Jemmett's swing. His wrists and hands are loose and lively, allowing him to really whip the bat through the zone with accelaration. Jemmett's swing is also fundamentally sound. He stays inside the ball and has a good weight transfer. Defensively he is very sure handed and reads the ball well off the bat. Jemmett is a gamer with instincts for the game and that certain something that allows him to rise above his natural ability. His bat will play quite well at the D1 level.
