Kohl Nguyen is a 2018 OF/RHP, IF with a 5-11 171 lb. frame from Duluth, GA who attends Peachtree Ridge HS. Recorded a 6.89 second 60-yard dash time; good speed with a recorded 4.34 second time to first. Medium, athletic build with present twitch muscle and room for additional strength. Primary outfielder who attacks the ball and works well through the point of release. Quick exchange and release with sure actions. Quick steps to the ball with quality arm strength and carry; recorded velocity up to 83 mph. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a simple rocker step into a medium leg lift. Coils over the back leg at the gather with a shorter arm circle and higher three-quarter arm slot. Good downward angle upon release of the fastball that flashed some run to the arm side. Filled the zone with the fastball and challenged hitters. Flashed a breaking ball with 11/5 shape but attacked with the fastball. Righthanded hitter with a balanced, even stance. Simple leg lift trigger and a direct, inside path to contact. Flashed good bat speed with good barrel whip through the zone. Hard line drive contact throughout the round and worked to the pull side with authority.
