Rhett Jaggers is a 2021 C/1B, 3B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Monticello, AR who attends Monticello High School. Large, broad shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.42 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, begins with a lower set behind the plate, receives the ball out front, looks to be quick with actions, gets tall out of crouch and can incorporate additional lower half and footwork into release, quick transfer, stays on top of throws well, arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; upper body dominant swing. Keeps hands inside the ball, employs a simple trunk turn moving into contact. Linear path through the zone, shorter stroke through the plate and shows comfort working to his pull side. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to New Mexico.
