Mack Pickering is a 2017 SS/2B/RHP with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Hattiesburg, MS who attends Oak Grove HS. Slender young build, has some compact strength with more to come. Switch hitter, same approach from both sides, hits from his backside with an uphill swing path, high extended finished, has some hand quickness and gets the barrel through the zone well, inside swing path, works mid field to opposite field. 7.38 runner, has quick feet on defense, tends to get his hands down late to the ball. Also pitched, uses his hips and lower half well, compact quick arm action, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, gets some cutting action at times. Hard curveball with 12/6 shape and a quick late bite, flashed a pretty good change up with arm speed, works quickly and throws strikes. Very good student.
